Olive hissed a breath through her teeth. It was good he was still, for the moment -- she needed a second to process how it felt. It didn't hurt, exactly (Olive had the fleeting thought that Judy Blume was dirty liar) but there was a distinct feeling of fullness, to nearly the point of discomfort. But underneath that sense of discomfort was a current of something tingly and warm and holding the promise of this eventually being incredible.
She held very still, feeling his heart thudding against hers. More than anything, overwhelmingly more pressing to her than the almost-pain,, was how close she felt to Victor right now. Not just the obvious -- it was pretty hard to actually be physically closer to a person than he was to her, right now -- but how she just felt closer. She couldn't explain it. And really, right now, she didn't feel like trying.
